Harrow in LEAF recipes

The place to share your recipes using your allotment or garden produce.

Rhubarb recipes, using rhubarb as a core ingredient natural or "forced".

Rhubarb are herbaceous perennials growing from short, thick rhizomes and originated from the River Volga.

It is generally considered to be a vegetable, but USA classes it as a fruit (something to do with import tax being lower for fruits).

It's good to relieve constipation apparently!

Sticky Rhubarb and Ginger Cake
from J Tublin, Croxley Green Allotments

This cake is as delicious as it sounds with two of our favourite British ingredients. Well, the "rhubarb triangle" in West Yorkshire was once the major forced rhubarb producer in the world.
